Stow Kerschers visit with Santa

Last night we visited with Santa in Stow. Both boys were great and very excited to talk with Santa. Ryan wanted to sing him a song (Santa Claus is Coming to Town) but since we didn't have time he settled for just telling Santa that he wants a DS and Jackson asked for a Wii.

For the soldiers

Friends of ours have decided to send some of their Halloween candy to a soldier in Iraq. I guess the soldiers really like getting candy! We definately had some to donate to their package so they asked us to put a note in with our candy and this is what Luke came up with.
Great job Luke!

More from Halloween 2009

A goodtime was had by all on Overbrook Rd. during trick or treat. Thankfully we had perfect trick or treat weather! Our house, along with every other house on our street, had a fire pit in the drive while the kiddos went house to house "begging" for candy.

Getting ready for trick or treat.

Sammy really enjoyed his Halloween parade. We were so glad to be able to parade outside this year!

Sammy and his buddy, Connor.

Silver Lake Elementary also had an outside Halloween parade. Mom had to run from one parade to the other this year but made it just in time for both!

Halloween 2009

Halloween started this year with a parade at Riverview - Jackson's school. Daddy and Grandpa Kerscher were there to watch the festivities on thursday afternoon. It was a little difficult finding Jackson since there were so many clone troopers but we finally found him. After school on thursday we started out with Lexi-Comp trick-or-treat, in attendence were Jackson (Star Wars Clone Tropper - Rex), Luke (Army Guy), Ryan (Indiana Jones) and Sammy (Officer Tyler). Everyone had a good time getting candy and running around Grandpa's warehouse. After Lexi-Comp we all went to trick-or-treat at Grandma and Grandpa's house in Tallmadge and then we finished out the night getting even more candy at Kara, Justin, Todd and Kyle's house and sitting around the campfire. Last but not least, since we didn't have enough candy yet we finally had our own trick-or-treat in Stow on saturday night.

Matt, Mary, Jackson and Ryan visit!

Okay, next time I'll put the pictures on here in reverse order, but for now, read from top to bottom...

We had a great time with our special visitors! Come back any time! :
Love, Uncle Russ and Aunt Kate :)
Looking at the farm animals!

They had great fall food: chili, hot dogs that you roast on a campfire, pumpkin pie, etc!

Watching how the kettle corn is made!

Matt is in a dress!!!

Both boys helped haul the pumpkins into the barn to be weighed!

After the hayride Jackson and Ryan picked out their pumpkins!
On the hayride!

When we got to the farm with the pumpkin patch, Mary got fresh-popped Kettle corn for everyone to share on the hayride! And while we waited in line, Ryan measured how tall he is this Fall!
Later on we headed to a farm!
Uncle Russ held the book for Jackson while he read comfortably upside-down...

...and something smelled a little stinky!!! ;)

On Sunday morning we were "Lucky Listeners" and got to hear Jackson read to us!

After the game we came back and had pizza and fell asleep after watching a little more football on TV.

The next morning we all got up, had yummy donuts and put on our Scarlet & Gray to go to the Wisconsin game!

Matt, Mary, Jackson and Ryan arrived Friday night and we all spent time playing Wii and catching up. We even had special visits from Aunt Kate's brother Matt, and cousins, Marissa and Kevin!

Pumpkin Patch

Before leaving Columbus on Sunday we stopped at a Pumpkin patch with Uncle Russ and Aunt Kate. We enjoyed a great hay ride, cooking hot dogs on the open fire and picking out a couple huge pumpkins. When we got home we carved them up and cooked pumpkin seeds, yum!!!
